Root Cellar Whiskey Bar is Pinea's hidden gem. Located in the lower level of the W Washington D.C.’s Mediterranean-inspired restaurant, it boasts a collection of some of the world’s best whiskeys, as well as award-winning scotches, rare bourbons, and local ryes. Settle in next to the cozy fire and select your tipple from the many bottles lining the bar's brick archways. Chef Koslow's menu features sharable dishes, such as house made charcuterie, all designed to pair perfectly with your drink. Happy hour features appetizers and select sips. In the warmer months here in D.C., you can relax on the adjacent patio and enjoy unrivaled views of Pennsylvania Avenue.
